Who can benefit from services at Divergent Tribe?
Our services are designed for children and youth from Birth - 21 years old & their immediate family members with neurodivergent minds or different ways of thinking. Anna E Biedermann, MOT, OTR/L, has 20 years of experience in elevating the potential of individuals. She specializes in working with children and families who have conditions such as developmental delays, sensory processing issues, mental health conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, grief, etc.), autism, ADHD, and other conditions that affect motor skills, coordination, and overall development.

How do I know if my child needs OT?
Pediatric Occupational Therapy helps children develop essential life skills such as fine motor skills, coordination, sensory processing, self-regulation, and social skills to enhance their independence and participation in daily activities. We also support families in navigating difficult life transitions and provide coaching and education as a necessary component of our treatment plan.

Is a referral required to start therapy?
A referral is NOT always required to begin services at Divergent Tribe, LLC. However, we recommend speaking with your pediatrician or healthcare provider to determine if therapy is right for your child.
What types of therapy does Divergent Tribe provide?
We offer a range of services including fine motor skill development, sensory integration therapy, social skills training, and individualized assessments. We also provide family education and support, in addition to collaboration with educators/ teachers and healthcare practitioners to ensure your child’s progress continues at home and school.
Do you provide therapy for children with autism?
Yes, we specialize in supporting children with autism, tailoring therapy to each child’s specific needs and helping them develop skills for daily living, communication, and social interaction.
Can therapy be done in home settings?
Yes, we offer services in homes, communities (e.g., parks; the beach; store), schools, and provide teletherapy services to accommodate your family’s needs. Our therapists will work with you to create a plan that works best for your child.
How do I get started with Divergent Tribe?
To begin, contact our office to schedule an initial consultation. During this session, we will discuss your child’s needs, conduct an assessment, and develop a personalized therapy plan.

During the initial evaluation, we will meet with you and your child to assess motor skills, sensory processing, mental health, and other areas of development. This helps us create a treatment plan tailored to your child’s needs.
How often will my child need therapy?
The frequency of therapy depends on your child’s individual needs. After the initial assessment, we’ll recommend a plan that may include weekly sessions or a different schedule depending on progress and goals.

Do you accept insurance?
We offer private pay options and have sliding scale fees for families who demonstrate financial need. This is determined on a case-by-case basis. We plan to accept insurance in the future as the company continues to grow.

What resources do you provide for parents?
We offer a variety of resources including educational materials and parent coaching sessions to help parents support their child’s development at home. We also provide access to a community of parents facing similar challenges. We are all in this together.
Can I talk to my child’s therapist between sessions?
Yes, we encourage open communication between therapists and parents. We readily welcome your ideas, beliefs, preferences, and cultural practices.
You may reach out to your child’s therapist with any questions or concerns between sessions, and we’ll keep you updated on progress.
